Batutua Tembaga Raya and PT Batutua Kharisma Permai jointly operate the Wetar Copper Project in Southwest Maluku. The Wetar copper project is an open pit mine that produces cathode copper LME grade from heap leaching followed by Solvent Extraction and Electrowinning processing.

The heap leach solvent extraction-electro winning (SX-EW) Copper Plants are designed to produce up to 30,000 tonne per annum copper cathode. To strengthen the existing management team and to ensure the achievement of the company objectives, the company is seeking suitable candidates to fill the position of:

1. PROCESSING TRAINER (03-PRT)

  • Processing Trainer role is support the smooth and efficient of the ore processing and production functions at Wetar Copper Project, optimising staff performance through skill and competency development while ensuring all safety and production targets are met complying with Company standards, guideliness and procedures. This position will be based in Wetar Copper Project site with 4 weeks onsite and 2 weeks offsite roster.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience: 

  1. Male, age 25 - 40 years old
  2. Minimum education level is high school degree
  3. Certified as Trainer by recognized training provider.  
  4. At least 8-10 years relevant experience in mineral processing operations with at least 5 years experience in similar role. 
  5. Detailed knowledge of and experience in use of competency development process and techniques. 
  6. Experience in team building, facilitating team projects and continuous improvement techniques. 
  7. Sound written and verbal communication skills. 
  8. A good level of computer skill (excel, word, etc) 
  9. Strong attention to detail. 
  10. Good planning and organising skills.

2. PLANT ELECTRICIAN (03-PLE)

  • This position will be based at the Wetar Copper Project site and reports directly to Plant Electrical Supervisor.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience: 

  1. Male. age 25 - 40 years old
  2. Minimum education level is high school degree
  3. Physically and mentally healthy
  4. Experienced as electrician and working for mineral processing plant and maintenance more than 5 years period
  5. Current driver’s license is required
  6. Advance computer skills particularly in the use of MS suite of products
  7. Familiar with work safety procedures on plant maintenance
  8. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  9. Willing to work on shifts and roster applied by the company

3. INSTRUMENT ELECTRICIAN (03-INE)

  • This position will be based at the Wetar Copper Project site and reports directly to Crusher Electrical Supervisor.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience: 

  1. Male, age 25 - 40 years old
  2. Minimum education level is high school degree
  3. Physically and mentally health
  4. Experienced as electrician and working for mineral processing plant and crushing more than 5 years period
  5. Current driver’s license is required
  6. Advance computer skills particularly in the use of MS suite of products
  7. Familiar with work safety procedures on crushing maintenance
  8. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  9. Willing to work on shifts and roster applied by the company.

4. PLANT MECHANICAL (03-PLM)

  • This position will be based at the Wetar Copper Project site and reports directly to Plant Maintenance Supervisor.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience: 

  • Male, age 25 - 40 years old
  • Minimum education level is high school degree
  • Physically and mentally healthy
  • Experienced as mechanical and working for mineral processing plant more than 5 years period
  • Having skills to repair and trouble shoot: Pumps (Centrifugal, Bredel, Submersible & Mono Pump), Agitators & Compressor
  • Experience in maintain lime mills, filter press and thickener unit
  • Familiar with work safety procedures on plant maintenance
  • Willing to work on shifts and roster applied by the company

5. CRUSHER MECHANIC (03-CRM)

  • This position will be based at the Wetar Copper Project site and reports directly to Crushing Maintenance Supervisor.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience: 

  1. Male, age 25 - 40 years old
  2. Minimum education level is high school degree
  3. Physically and mentally healthy
  4. Experienced as crusher mechanic and working in reputable mining company more than 5 years period
  5. Having skills to repair and trouble shoot both Fixed and Mobile Crusher
  6. Good knowledge for Hydraulic System
  7. Familiar with work safety procedures on plant maintenance
  8. Willing to work on shifts and roster applied by the company.

6. CIVIL OPERATION SUPERINTENDENT (03-COS)

  • This position will be based at the Wetar Copper Project site and reports directly to Technical Service Manager.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience: 

  1. Male. maximum age 45 years old
  2. Minimum education level is bachelor degree, specially Civil Engineering
  3. Physically and mentally healthy
  4. Experienced working in reputable mining company more than 10 years period
  5. Having POP (Pengawas Operasional Pratama) license is a must
  6. Advance knowledge for Earthmoving System
  7. Familiar with work safety procedures on mining
  8. Willing to work on shifts and roster applied by the company
